	Rebranding for Tequila Ocho, renamed Ochos, the world’s first Single Field tequila company based in Arandas, Jalisco Mexico. A tequila made the old fashioned way, Ochos prides itself with its tradition, quality, execution and taste.
Since “ocho” (eight) is so vital to the brand’s story (view process work), the logo is created with eight geometric agave leaves in the shape of figure eights. The primary typeface used for the brand’s name is custom-made with angles cutting through the letterforms that match the logo’s agave leaves.
The bottle is designed with a clear label on a green tinted glass bottle to further establish the quality of Ochos, which is the 100% pure agave flavor without the use of any chemical pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers—the purest form of the true taste of tequila.

	Design for the ordinary things in life, the objects that don’t get too much attention. People don’t give too much attention to lipbalm branding, so I wanted to challenge myself to do a project where I tackle making an ordinary product extraordinary. 
The lipbalm takes inspiration from one of the greatest films in history—The Godfather. The name Omertà comes from mafia termonology, “Code of Silence”. The logotype and typefaces chosen give a classy feel, while the copy makes the product approachable to the audience. 
The colors chosen are a black and creamy white with a pop of bright scarlet to keep the main focus on the typography and copy of the brand. The product shape design is chosen to mimic a tiny briefcase.
Just when you thought you were out, Omertà pulls you back in with a lipbalm for dangerously soft lips.

	The Pearl District Editorial piece showcases the history of San Antonio, Texas’ Pearl District and its revitalization. It includes everything from the history of Pearl’s famous 19th century beer to the culinary and cultural destination it is today.
This user-friendly newspaper can be used as a personal tour guide for tourists or anyone visiting/living at Pearl. It includes a list of the community’s amenities—food, shops, entertainment, and its support of local businesses, as well as a map guiding the user where to find these resources.
Each page is designed to resemble the various buildings and architecture found at Pearl and how they have been restored since Pearl’s re-opening. The mix of Sans and Serif fonts used throughout the editorial further emphasize the idea of blending the “old with the new”, embodying the harmony that can exist between the two. 
Although the piece contains factual information, that’s not all it has to offer. As the user reads on, they embark on a journey full of fun twists with quirky pull-quotes pertaining to the content of each page to keep the user engaged and hopefully make their day. Each page remains classy, yet fun just like Pearl’s atmosphere.

	Collaborative Spring 2020 rebranding project with Carina Umana for Our Lady of Wisdom University Parish at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. Action of rebrand TBD.
The brand colors are the Texas State golden color symbolizing wisdom and white symbolizing hope. The brand feel is peaceful, clean and graceful—nothing too flashy. The linear work is displayed throughout subtly, letting the typograhy do the work.
Since it is a University Parish, we decided to incorporate a book like in the original logo (view process work). We were also requested to create a logo for the original name of the parish, St. Jude, to use as a complementary logo.

	1 of the top 10 finalists placing 5th in the Adobe + Netflix Creative Jam where 612 entries and 2,600 students and recent grads participated remotely from the US, UK and Canada to create and prototype an innovative user-friendly Netflix streaming platform desktop app in 48 hours using Adobe XD. View livestream here.I collaborated with my teammate, Carina Umana, within the span of two days using Google Docs, Zoom and Adobe XD’s new co-editing feature to create a userflow to present to a group of Netflix judges and livestream viewers. Our project, Binge-Thru is a desktop friendly app partnered with Netflix that connects family and friends of long distance and creates a network through the movies and shows we all love with people around the world. Throughout this website, users are able to schedule their own binge parties, share their favorite moments, review and join public live streams. The visual/user interface design is as easy flowing and accessible to the users as possible so that they can enjoy their experience and binge with us again.We developed the concept of linking Binge-Thru to the user’s personal Netflix account to have access to the user’s Netflix list and personalizations, and to save the user the hassle of having to search up and create essentially a duplicate Netflix profile.

	Brand + IdentityTypographyMotion GraphicsResearch︎
	¡JAHA! is a conference designed for Latino comedy and culture and its contribution to design/design inspiration for designers in states with heavy Latino population like Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. This conference is open to all designers seeking to gain more knowledge on the Latino culture and how to appropriately design for it, all while having a good laugh.
The logo is created with a bold, characteristic font that is representable to common Latin cultures. The name ¡JAHA! mixes the Spanish “jaja” and the English “haha”, while the tagline “Viva la Risa” means “Long Live Laughter”.
The color palette has expressive and colorful fiesta colors to represent the culture’s warmth and liveliness. The way this conference is designed allows the audience to immerse themselves into the loud and loving culture and become “familia”.

	Human Rights Watch
	

	UX/UIBrand + IdentityArt Direction︎

	Rebranding for Human Rights Watch, a non-profit organization that partners with other global organizations to investigate and report abuse on human rights occurring all around the world. 
Their advocacy is directed towards governments, armed forces and businesses to get them to change and fix our laws, policies and practices and ultimately bring justice to where it is needed all while refusing any government funding and corporate ties.

The target of the rebrand is to enhance a brand voice that speaks for the brand—positively impactful, truthful and trustworthy, as well as staying professional and informative. The main focus of this particular campaign is to give a voice to those who don’t have one and help put an end to children being recruited for war in Somalia, Africa by creating a responsive user-friendly web design landing page.
The brandmark is embosssed or die-cutted onto paper touchpoints like the brochure to amplify the brand’s message of “watch”. The brand’s colors are neutral greys to show the seriousness of the causes that the brand is standing up for. The subtle use of orange enhances feelings of energy, hope and a call to action. The grayscale photography unifies the brand voice with the colors chosen for the brand.
